At Maven Clinical Services, we specialize in comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals whose symptoms are complex, overlapping, or have not been fully understood through prior care. Our goal is to bring clarity, precision, and direction to your mental health care.
We work with adolescents and adults across a range of concerns, with particular expertise in:
We provide affirming, evidence-based care for individuals exploring or navigating gender identity, including diagnostic evaluation and pre-surgical psychological assessments when indicated.
We offer pre-surgical psychological evaluations for bariatric procedures, with a focus on thoughtful assessment and preparation to support long-term success.
We also work with individuals experiencing mild to moderate substance use concerns, including alcohol use and other patterns that may be impacting mood, sleep, or overall functioning. When appropriate, these concerns are thoughtfully integrated into the diagnostic process and treatment recommendations.
Many of the individuals we see have tried treatment before but continue to feel that something has been missed. Our work is especially valuable in situations where symptoms do not fit neatly into a single category, or where prior diagnoses have not fully explained the clinical picture.
We provide in-depth, unhurried evaluations that integrate psychiatric, psychological, developmental, and medical perspectives. This process allows us to move beyond surface-level symptom checklists and develop a more accurate and meaningful understanding of each individual.
Our recommendations are thoughtful and individualized, with careful attention to the least intensive and most effective interventions. This may include therapy, behavioral and lifestyle changes, coordination with outside physicians, and medication when indicated. As part of our prescribing philosophy, we do not use benzodiazepines in our practice.
Our practice is best suited for individuals seeking a deeper level of diagnostic understanding or a more thoughtful, comprehensive approach to care.
Because we are a small, specialized outpatient practice, we are not equipped to provide care for individuals requiring frequent crisis intervention, medical detoxification, or hospitalization. This includes opioid use disorder, complex polysubstance use, or substance use requiring a higher level of structured support.
Individuals experiencing acute safety concerns or needing urgent support should seek immediate care through emergency or higher-acuity services.
